Ode to Sherbet

What is it like to have a cute kitten?
I'll tell you just how much I am smitten.
She brings me her mouse when she wants to play;
She curls up in the sun and sleeps all day.
She stretches, she yawns, she scratches, she purrs;
She meows to announce this house is all hers.
She taps my foot when she wants attention;
She rubs my leg when she senses tension.
She enjoys to swat and bite at my hair;
She plays "peek-a-boo" with her green-eyed stare.
She chases her tail and walks with a flounce;
She wiggles her butt when she's ready to pounce.
She curiously peeks inside the fridge door;
When I give her food, she always wants more.
As I type this verse, she's curled at my feet.
I love how she is so cuddly and sweet!
